Fair Housing Month Keynote Event: Building on the Past to Prepare for the Future

The National Fair Housing Alliance and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) invite you to join our Fair Housing Month Keynote Event on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 3:00pm ET. This virtual panel discussion will feature accomplishments and advances made under the nation’s fair housing laws, and outline the challenges which lie ahead.
This event will feature opening addresses by NFHA’s Board Chair and the Director of the Domestic Policy Council, the agency tasked with implementation of the President’s Racial Equity Executive Order. It will also feature a keynote address by HUD Secretary, Marcia Fudge, who is responsible for implementing President Biden’s Memorandum on Redressing Our Nation’s and the Federal Government’s History on Discriminatory Housing Practices and Policies. The opening addresses will be closed out by a 2-part panel of thought leaders on a range of fair housing issues.
The panel will be moderated by Lisa Rice, NFHA President and Chief Executive Officer. The first panel will focus on the importance of fair housing through the actions of the past, teeing up issues and challenges that still face our society. The second panel will explore solutions focused addressing a range of policies, programs, and practices that are being or need to be implemented to achieve racial and housing equity.
