2015 Fair Housing Trends Report

The Fair Housing Act both prohibits discrimination in housing based on race, color, religion, sex, familial status, national origin, and disability status, and makes it the policy of the United States to promote residential integration.4 This year, HUD plans to release a long-overdue regulation to clearly define the provision in the Fair Housing Act which requires that federal housing and community development programs promote diverse and inclusive communities in which everyone has a chance to succeed.
