NFHA’s first Hackathon, held in June 2023, challenged students, recent college graduates, and others to develop innovative solutions to remove bias from the housing and lending sectors. The winning team worked together to identify, quantify, and mitigate bias in an automated valuation model and was awarded a prize of $25,000. The next Hackathon will be held Fall 2025.
