NFHA Statement on the Passing of Richard Trumka
“We were heartbroken to learn of the death of our ally and friend, AFL-CIO president Richard Trumka,” said Lisa Rice, President and CEO of the National Fair Housing Alliance. “For decades,Richard was a fierce advocate for working people throughout the United States, and was a loyal and thoughtful partner in our ongoing efforts to advocate for housing justice, equitable opportunities, and protecting people from discrimination based on race, religion, gender identity, familial status or disability. Our thoughts are with his wife, Barbara, his family, the AFL-CIO, and all of those affected by this tremendous loss.”
