NFHA President and CEO Issues Statement on the Passing of Vernon Jordan

Washington, D.C. — Lisa Rice, President and CEO of the National Fair Housing Alliance (NFHA), issued the following statement on the passing of civil rights leader Vernon Jordan:

“Today we lost a great advocate for civil rights and justice in Vernon Jordan. He was a distinguished leader and unwavering champion for expanding the rights of people from all backgrounds. We are saddened by his passing but also thankful for his countless contributions to the civil rights movement and the steps he took to create a more inclusive and just society. We offer our condolences and full support to Mr. Jordan’s family and friends and will continue working with our civil rights colleagues to advance the principles of justice and equity that he championed.”
