The National Fair Housing Alliance Submits Comments on HUD’s Announcement to Suspend the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Rule

March 7, 2018 — Yesterday, the National Fair Housing Alliance submitted a letter opposing HUD’s announcement on January 5, 2018 that effectively suspended implementation of the agency’s 2015 Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing regulation. The letter outlines a number of reasons why the 2015 rule was necessary and why suspending it was an ill-advised and improper course of action. NFHA urges HUD to reverse the action and to resume immediate implementation of the rule.
