 40TH ANNIVERSARY CAMPAIGN

2008 marks the 40th anniversary of the passage of the federal Fair Housing Act. In the past 40 years much progress has been made in eradicating discrimination in housing, however there remains much work to be done, both by the Government and the individual. The National Fair Housing Alliance is marking this milestone with a series of events which highlight how far we have come as a nation and how far we have yet to go. These events include:

The release of the 2008 Fair Housing Trends report.

The release of the NFHA sponsored book Segregation: The Rising Cost for America.

"Reclaim Civil Rights- Make Fair Housing a Reality: a National Policy Conference."

  Member events throughout the country.

NFHA would not be able to recognize this important anniversary without the support of some very generous sponsors including:

... and by a generous contribution from The Ford Foundation.
