The Democratic Leadership released a video entitled, “Looking Back, Moving Forward: Democrats Celebrate 40 Years of the Fair Housing Civil Rights Act.”  It reflects on the successes of our past and Senate Democrats’ commitment to work towards a more equitable future for all of our neighbors who seek to live the American dream.  The video features commentary and historical insights from Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin, Senators Ted Kennedy and Christopher Dodd, along with Congressmen John Conyers and John Lewis.  Together they chronicle the history of major civil rights legislation and discuss what more the nation must do.
